Privacy policy

This document describes how information is handled in the SubNest app for iPhone and iPad. It does not govern other products on RODRIGUEZROM.com (portfolio, web, or libraries). For questions about SubNest: support@rodriguezrom.com.
Purpose
SubNest is a personal organizer on your device: you manually log subscriptions (Finance on the App Store) to see lists, summaries, and reminders. It does not connect to banks or real accounts with services like Netflix or Spotify, and it does not replace bank statements or official third-party data.
Data on your device
Information you enter—such as service name or template, amount and currency, monthly or annual billing cycle, next renewal date, optional account label, and reminder preferences—is stored only in the app’s local storage (for example in Application Support, in an on-device data store).
There is no sign-in, no cloud account for the app, and no developer-managed iCloud backup of this data in the current App Store release (SubNest 1.0 (build 1)). The app does not use the network to sync your subscriptions and does not connect to banks or providers’ real accounts.
If you set up reminders, the app may also store your preferred hour and minute for firing notifications in the app’s local settings.
Local notifications
If you grant permission, SubNest schedules local notifications on the device using Apple’s UserNotifications framework—for example on the renewal date and/or three days before, according to your settings. The text may include the service name (or title shown) and the amount formatted in your chosen currency. These are local alerts only; we do not operate our own push backend or developer-managed remote APNs/FCM for your subscription content.
Analytics, ads, and third parties
The current App Store release (SubNest 1.0 (build 1)) does not include third-party analytics (for example Firebase), third-party crash reporters, ad SDKs, or App Tracking Transparency flows to sync subscription data. There are no Swift Package dependencies in that release. If this changes in a future version, we will update this policy.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell the subscription information you store in SubNest and we do not use it for behavioral advertising.
Retention
Your data stays on the device until you delete it in the app or remove the app (subject to how iOS handles app data on uninstall). We do not keep copies on our servers because we do not receive that data as part of running the app.
Your choices and rights
You can edit or delete entries in the app, adjust notification permission and reminders in system Settings and in the app, and uninstall SubNest to remove local app data. Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you additional rights; for privacy requests about SubNest, contact us using the details at the end.
Support pages on the web
Public URLs (for example help or this policy on RODRIGUEZROM.com) exist to meet App Store Connect links and show the reference text. Visiting those pages may create routine technical logs from hosting (such as IP address); we do not use those visits to replace or expand the data you store inside SubNest.
App Store privacy labels
Apple’s App Store privacy questionnaire asks what data is linked to you or used for tracking. Subscription data you enter in SubNest stays on the device and is not sent to us as the developer to operate those features. Visiting this site may create routine hosting logs. Make sure your store answers match each shipped version.
Minors
SubNest is not directed at children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe information was collected from a child inappropriately, please contact us.
Changes
We may update this policy only as it affects SubNest. We will publish the revision date on this page; continued use of the app after material changes means you acknowledge the updated version.
