RODRIGUEZROM

Help center

SubNest is a personal finance app for iPhone and iPad: you manually log subscriptions, browse lists and currency summaries, and can enable local reminders. It does not replace bank statements and does not connect to banks or real Netflix, Spotify, or other provider accounts.

In one sentence: SubNest is a local-only subscription log—you record amounts and renewal dates yourself; it does not connect to banks or provider accounts.

If you can, include your iPhone or iPad model, iOS/iPadOS version, SubNest version (Settings or About), and a short description of the problem or screen.

Getting started

Add a subscription using the add control: pick a service from the local catalog (names and icons are visual references only) or create a custom service. Enter amount, currency, monthly or annual cycle, next renewal date, and optionally an account label.

In Summary, review monthly or yearly totals and filter by one currency or view all. Amounts reflect only what you entered.

In Settings, turn on alerts on renewal day and/or three days before, and choose the time for the system to schedule local notifications. Grant notification permission when iOS asks.

Frequently asked questions

What does SubNest do?

It helps you keep a personal subscription log: list and detail, editor, period summary with per-service breakdown, and optional reminders. Everything is manual—the app does not read your real accounts.

Does the app charge or manage my payments?

No. SubNest does not process payments or connect to banks or providers’ real accounts (Netflix, Spotify, etc.). It only stores on the device what you type.

Are notifications required?

No. If you enable reminders, SubNest schedules local notifications on your device (for example on renewal day and/or three days before). You can change or revoke permission in system Settings and review options in the app’s Settings. The current App Store release (SubNest 1.0 (build 1)) does not use developer remote push for that content.

Where is my data?

On your iPhone or iPad, in the app’s local storage, with no required account and no sync of your subscription data to our servers in the current App Store release (SubNest 1.0 (build 1)). More detail in the privacy policy.

Will amounts and dates match my contract or statement?

Only if you enter them correctly. SubNest does not verify real charges or guarantee a match with official contracts or statements. It is not financial, tax, or legal advice.

What is the service catalog?

A local list of well-known brands to name and illustrate subscriptions. It does not integrate with those services and does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement by the brand owners.

Are there in-app purchases or a SubNest subscription?

SubNest 1.0 (build 1) as published on the App Store has no in-app purchases (IAP) or subscription to the app. If that changes, we will update this help page and the terms of use.

Which iOS or iPadOS version do I need?

The exact minimum requirement is on the SubNest App Store listing (the current development line targets iOS 17 or later). Keeping the OS updated helps with security, fixes, and accessibility.

Issues with VoiceOver, large text, or other accessibility?
